About Marvin Spicer

Marvin Spicer is the owner-operator and senior service technician of RM Services and Sales, with 25 years experience in the restaurant and service industry.

Marvin had big goals and the work ethic and drive to meet them. So at the young age of 19, he moved to Ashville, NC to begin his journey in culinary arts, attending AB Tech Culinary School.

Marvin worked in a number of restaurants along the way, building his resume as a Sous Chef as well as Executive Chef. Always intrigued by different cultures and cuisines, it was only a matter of time before he decided to move to Wilmington to join the Atlantic Quest Group, which includes many popular high end restaurants in the New Hanover county area. While working three jobs, and completing the HVAC Refrigeration Program at CFCC, Marvin began to extend his services and years of knowledge, in maintaining and servicing of commercial equipment.

Marvin decided to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur, opening RM Services in 1992. Hard work and dedication, along with the unwavering support of his family, had the business succeeding, and in need of expansion. In 2008, RM Services became RM Services and Sales Inc., which allowed customers the convenience of buying commercial equipment and accessories, as well as receiving maintenance and service when needed.

In 2020 Marvin decided to expand once again; offering equipment rentals, a food service mobile supply store, and commissary prep kitchens (soon to come).

Marvin has built a company with integrity, one with the customer’s present and future needs in mind. A business that is invested in the success of others, and the enrichment of the community.
